RJ-45 to DB-9 Serial Port Adapter Pinout Information. The console port is an RS-232 serial interface that uses an RJ-45 connector to connect to a management device such as a PC or a laptop. If your laptop or PC does not have a DB-9 male connector pin and you want to connect your laptop or PC to the device, use a combination. Serial to Ethernet Connector is a perfect RS-232 Ethernet cable program solution, which allows creating a virtual null-modem cable over network with no dependencies on the distance between the port itself and the application.
1) Push the inner wires corresponding to pins 3 and 6 of the Ethernet cable into the same side of 1 of the 4-wire splice connectors.
Caution: Make sure to push wires as far back as they will go into the 4-pin wire splicers to ensure a proper signal flow and avoid malfunctioning cables.
2) Clamp down the used side of the 4-wire splice connector using the end of the wire strippers.
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the inner wires corresponding to pins 7 and 8 of the Ethernet cable using the other 4-wire splice connectors.
4) Push the inner wire of the serial cable corresponding to the receive pin into the opposing slot of the 4-pin wire splicer containing the inner wire corresponding to pin 3 of the Ethernet cable.
5) Repeat step 4 for the remaining inner wires corresponding to the following pins:
a) Transmit pin of serial cable to pin 6 of Ethernet cable (clamp down completed side).
b) Ground pin of serial cable to pin 7 or Ethernet cable.
c) Bare inner wires of serial cable to pin 8 of Ethernet cable (clamp down completed side).

Serial To Ethernet Connector

Ok, my boss gave me a problem to solve in 12 hours..
Have a touchscreen monitor.
Video connection is ok. But Touch input connection is not..
The touch port on the monitor is r323. The only computer we currently have is a laptop with no serial ports.
Tools in my hand, r323 to ethernet adapter cable.
r323 to r323 cable.
r323 to 1x10 pin adapter...

Obviously, with the tools in my hand I can't use serial ports. don't want to open up the laptop....
So my options are limited to use the ethernet connection right now. Need a program / driver to make my system recognize the ethernet port as a serial port. Or something to make it work...
Serial To Ethernet Connector Software
Not vital, but if I can solve this in 12 hours, it will make us gain 5 - 10 days in a project. If I can't, I will go buy a usb to r323 converter cable, and it will most probably fix the problem - but by tomorrow morning, it will be late, and we will probably lose those 5-10 days...
Thanks in advance!
